BACKGROUND

Ettlinger Editorial Projects, founded in 1985, organized creative and expert teams
to develop or produce books or content for traditional or electronic publishers.
Areas of specialization included popular reference (home and leisure), helpful and
authoritative nonfiction, and high-quality photography. Ettlinger Editorial Projects
took complex projects from concept to manuscript, printer-ready disc, or bound
books. Information-intensive, visually-oriented books or digital projects with many
editorial sources are the norm.
Steve Ettlinger was a literary agent for a limited number of clients in addition
to his work as a book producer, author, and lecturer (only some of those books are
listed here). In the course of publicizing his own books, Ettlinger has appeared on
network, national and regional cable as well as local TV shows numerous times, including
repeat appearances on The Today Show, The Food Network, Cablevision, as well
as interviews on Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, Live with Regis and Kathie
Lee, The Home Show, and others. He has experienced excellent reception in dozens
of radio and newspaper interviews.
Steve Ettlinger is a former picture editor for GEO Magazine who has also worked
for daily and weekly magazines. He continues to write magazine articles as well as
books. He was president of the American Book Producers Association from 1990 to 1995.
Please note that Ettlinger Editorial Projects does NOT solicit new projects
from the general public. Please do NOT send unsolicited queries.
